The international exhibition project “expeditions in aesthetics and sustainability! expeditions in aesthetics and sustainability”, which contained over 50 individual exhibits, was presented at the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site. The exhibition was accompanied by an interdisciplinary symposium. The British artist Steven Emmanuel brought the performance phase of his “The Good Life?” project to an end shortly before the symposium. For the first time, the VISIT fellow reported on what experiences with life “without energy” at the site of the former coal mine entailed.
