E-Werk Luckenwalde joins the VISIT-Network

E-Werk Luckenwalde is a new partner in the VISIT network. For 60 years, the power plant supplied the region with energy before the artist collective Performance Electrics flipped the switch in 2019. The result: a regenerative art power plant and centre for contemporary art.

The VISIT artists selected in 2022 will be given the opportunity of a guest residency at E-Werk Luckenwalde. In addition, a joint exhibition and events are planned depending on the project.

E-Werk Artistic Director Helen Turner is also part of the jury this year. She studied Fine Art at the University of the Arts in London and completed her Master's degree in Psychosocial Studies in 2013. This was followed by positions in galleries and at the Cass Sculpture Art Foundation, where Turner was most recently chief curator. Since 2019, she has been running E-Werk Luckenwalde together with her partner and artist Pablo Wendel. more information
