The first artist of the program "Human-Machine" of the JUNGE AKADEMIE has been selected! We congratulate Sahej Rahal from Mumbai/India! Rahal convinced the jury with his project "Citizen Strange", for which he developed alternative mythologies in the form of stories, sculptures, performances, film, painting and AI programs that question the narratives that influence and shape our reality. He explores the limits of the non-human - from his mythical relationship with demons to the future avatars of algorithmic intelligence.
Overall three "Human-Machine" grants are awarded in cooperation with the VISIT program of the E.ON Foundation and are endowed with 20,000 euros each. The second round application round will take place in 2021.
