"What Matters?!" is both the question and the statement of this year's work show of the Junge Akademie, the international artist-in-residence programme of our cooperation partner Akademie der Künste.
What can you expect? Sound and video installations, photographs, sculptures, paintings and performances by 29 scholarship holders.
"Bodies in Transition" is the name of the work by our VISIT scholarship holder Yvon Chabrowski. A video project for which she was able to win over the actor Benno Fürmann and the performer Ayse Orhon: Both move life-size on a treadmill. They wear costumes that give their bodies attributes that are socially binary assigned to the sexes - pronounced muscles on the one hand, suppleness and elegance on the other. What is the meaning behind this?
The resolution can be seen until 10 April at the Akademie der Künste.
